There are a ton of things you can do in this section in order to make the world of Rewritten City seem more real! Remember, everything in this section is public knowledge to all characters of Rewritten City (unless they don't pay attention to the media much).

Please visit the Accounts thread for info on how to access different site accounts, such as The Press, Reporters, and NPC account.

Also visit the site shop for info on how to gain points for putting content in the City News section.

• INTERVIEWS
  Every month, staff will select a person from the accepted characters list to be an interviewer - if that person accepts, he/she can interview whomever they chose for the paper, as long as they agree. Just make sure that you don't interview someone who's already been interviewed recently.
  
  The interviewer could be from a famous magazine, a local news station, the New York Times, a famous TV show - be creative! Remember both the interviewer and interviewees receive points.
  
  
• ARTICLES
  With the Press or Reporter accounts, you can write articles for magazines, newspapers, etc as you see fit and post them here. Want to write about some gossip about characters? Want to go around and get quotes from characters for an article? - you can PM people with the Press/ Reporter accounts.
  
  Want to help cover a BIG story on the site? Go for it! Want to make something in your plot a big deal? What better way than to use the media? You can get points for it too!
  
  
• COMMENTS
  With the NPC Account you can reply to articles anonymously - saying whatever opinions you have on the issues at hand. Post in the form of dialogue, someone reading the article and talking to a friend, etc. Maybe as a Facebook or Twitter post!
  
  
• IC COLUMNS
  If you have a character that is a writer, maybe he/she has a column for a publication. In this case you don't need to use the Reporter accounts, you can just go ahead and post your column as your character.
  
  When other members submit to advice columns, they receive points as well. ALL ADVICE COLUMNISTS MUST PM AN ADMIN WHEN THEY RECEIVE A SUBMISSION, STATING WHO SUBMITTED TO THEIR COLUMN.
  
  
• SPEECHES & PRESS CONFERENCES
  Have a big announcement you want to make in front of the press, host it in this section. You can event have some people control reporters for you in a Q&A session. These count as articles in the site shop and npc participation count as comments.
  
  
• TV TALK SHOWS, NEWS PROGRAMS, GOSSIP SHOWS, ETC
  With these counting as articles in the site shop, go ahead and be creative. Maybe some media personalities have something to say about the events going on in NYC!
  
  
• ADVERTISEMENTS, PUBLICITY CAMPAIGNS
  Is there an event, product, company or election candidate to advertise? Got banners or billboards displayed everywhere? Post them here - get creative! Maybe you can outline a TV ad, or if you're graphically talented (or can get someone who is) - make magazine ad or a billboard sign. Maybe make an ad in the newspaper
  
  
• EXTRAS
  If you have any other ideas, just go for it!
