It was a Saturday night, Chesh had long finished all his shows, flawlessly as always. Like most Saturdays, the show's were more jam-packed than usual, his theater was always full, but not like Saturdays. Usually Chesh would make his way to the park by now, he always loved taking in the night air, sitting on the bench watching people walk by, but he took a change of pace tonight. He had made his way towards a diner, he had often frequented. It was a quaint place, not a lot of customers, food was so-so, and service was terrible. Which of course, is why Chesh went there, if he didn't want to be in a largely crowded place, he made his way to this diner.
He walked in the door, letting the bell ring as the door hit it on his way in, and made his way to a booth seat. It was one of the hotter nights, and Chesh was dressed accordingly. He had on a pair of navy shorts, pretty plain looking tennis shoes, and a tank top that had a sleeping cat printed on it. His hair, as pink as it already was, seemed to glow even a brighter pink in the diners light, while his purple eyes; due to contacts, looked more of an off grey color. His eyes had been painted with make-up, not so that he looked like a girl, just light and dark shades of purple made its way around his eyes. The necklace he wore that night, was more than fitting. A simple silver necklace, that made its way to his collar bone, with the word smile written at the bottom in plain view.
"oi, what does a bloke gotta do around 'ere to get some coffee?" He muttered, his native accent finding its way out of his mouth. He let his feet find its way to resting on table before him, no one would tell him to do otherwise, they hadn't before, why would they now. As he waited for the coffee to be made for him, he covered his eyes with his arms and let out a big yawn. It had been a long, profitable day, but the night was still young, and sleep would not find it's way into Chesh's life.
"Here you are sir, what can I get for you tonight?" asked the waitress, she must have been new he had never seen her there before. He cocked his head to the side and gave her a crooked grin "Ye never gave me a menu lass" he chuckled, he already knew what he wanted, and the other waitresses had probably already told her that. This was fresh meat though, he couldn't pass up the chance to play with her. He watched as she fretted, not knowing what to do, she probably wasn't sure whether he was playing with her, or her new co-workers had played a prank on her. "Yer already here, so i'll order of the top of me head" he said moving his hands from his eyes to the back of his head looking at the waitress "hmm, bring me...whatever ye thing is good" he coo'd, knowing full and well the girl didn't have a clue what was good.

Dolores was always amazed by magic. She pulled Mona down on the couch to watch Wizards of Waverly place with her that morning before school started. The fiery red-head snuggled her best friend on the couch, cereal bowl in one hand. Not romantically, of course, though she knew that Monica could take it however she would like. Dolores is simply a very affectionate person, and her closeness with others physically is very important to her. Not being able to grow up with a good relationship with her mother perhaps triggered that. Her loss of her father at a young age made her wish life was different- there were probably other deep psychological pathways she was not aware of about, and she didn't care to look into that. Dolores considered herself just fine- dealing with what was handed to her. If magic existed, wow. What a life and dream she'd be living. Deisgner clothes every day, like that Juliet girl, like the girl her mother wanted her to be. Truth be told, she could look in the mirror everyday and see something about the high class in the papers and throw it over her shoulder without another thought, but emotionally... she was truly distraught.
There were often times when she questioned herself why she chose to run away and not fight for her place in the Haze apartment suite with her mother. But then again, she was kicked out, right? It forced her to find another place. It also so happened that Monica, her best friend, was looking for another home as well. They came together and got a homey little apartment, it seemed like at least some light was shed on their situations. They were the underdogs, the people who were isolated and booted off that high end of the spectrum where they could have ruled NY with an iron fist, an iron fist with diamond jewelry all overtheir hands. Dolores had dreams of things going back to where it was before, an alternate universe where Mr. Q never touched her at all. She'd probably still be a daisy fresh girl, and here she would be having butlers and maids at her disposal instead of dancing for money. Then again, she loved to dance. Dancing was something she always loved to do ever since she was a little girl. Someday she hoped to hit it big- and be a Rockette or something related to Broadway. Her dreams were very large- but she had no care for all that were considered sins in Charlotte Haze's eyes.
After school, she headed off to watch a magic show before work. The man was indeed amazing- with pink hair to boot. He inspired her to theme her performance later that night with magic- and she knew that she looked really cute in her little genie themed costume. But as always, she liked to tease- and she indeed teased very well, her silk baby blue robe brushing off her skin when she turned, showing off her milky-colored, doll-like thigh which made the men in the audience cat call and holler like priests on Judgement day. As she crawled to the part of the stage closest to the audience, the contorted her body into a meditative position, querying the spectators. "Mr. Aladdin sir, what will your pleasure be?" With a very suggestive wink, she threw the robe to the side and shook her moneymaker, batting her perfectly done-up eyelashed behind the mask she wore. As far as she knew, she was the only one who worked at the Cat Scratch club who wore one. The administrators seemed fine with it- added to the mystery of who she was. She liked walking around without her mask in the city- she knew that it was safer and her reputation wouldn't be so scandalous at school... But then again, having this facade, leading this double life made her feel all the more special.
But there was no one special in the audience, no person who tipped her extremely heavily or made a real sexual connection with her while she performed. Shrugging it off once she got out of costume, she thought about how to spend her time now she was free. There were no "engagements" scheduled, Mona was off interning and working, being the more responsible of the two. As she rode the subway to another part of town, she leaned on the pole, closing her eyes for a bit, trying to wake out of her exhaustion. There were days when dancing took a lot out of her, but that was one of the best parts, wasn't it? Tonight was always different because she knew that before actually sleeping with the guy, she's be in good hands. Now with nothing to do, she was at a complete loss. Reaching in her pocket, she took out a couple dollar bills and decided to hit a cafe, knowing fully well that Mona could cook something delicious later that night when she arrived at their apartment. Walking in the eating area, she immediately caught lightning pink air, finding herself a little starstruck. That's the magician! The awesome magician I saw this afternoon! The kid in her felt the need to rush over for an autograph like at Disneyworld, He looks so.... wow. It was hard to take him in. She adjusted her navy, fitting, cut-short overalls over a lavender tank-top. She let her red hair fall to one shoulder, the other side held up by bobby pins she hurriedly applied. Slowly, she made her way forward.
"Hey," she spoke, her hands drumming on his table, "I saw your show earlier today, and I just wanted to say.... you're freakin' amazing." Her smile came through, it was like the time she met Mickey and Minnie... minus the hyperventilation. Wiggling her hips, which was more of a tick she fell into rather than a suggestive intention, she opened her mouth once more, "I wish I could do magic... uh, can I sit down with you, mister?"

Chesh a small yawn escape his mouth, of course he didn't cover his mouth, he didn't see the point in that. He took a sip of his coffee, and cringed a bit, his grin almost changing into a frown. Bloody Hell he thought to himself ,this isn't coffee in the least bit, what the hell did these blokes do? Dig up dirt from the back yard in place of coffee grinds?. He grimaced at the cup, and slowly started adding sugar and half-n-half, until the coffee mixture was two-thirds sweet milk, and one third coffee. He took another sip at what he had now made, and let his grin return, suppose it was a good thing he was quite fond of milk.
He took a book out of his bag, labeled Alice in Wonderland. He had recently come across a girl in the park who was reading this book, and before he knew it, he had bought it as well. Tonight was not the night to read though, not to mention he knew most books he had already read by heart. He spread the book out, and laid it across his face, covering his eyes as he tilted his head back. As the bell rang, his eyes found their way to the side of the book where he could have a clear view of room And 'ere I thought I was their only customer, he chuckled at the thought. The girl who entered was a pretty little number, it amazed Chesh how younger girls kept getting more and more attractive. What happened to the good ole days when you could tell when a girl was 15 or 21?
The girl made her way towards him, of course he thought she would make her way past him, but no, she stopped short at his table. She started drumming her hands on his table as she began to speak. He took the book off his eyes, and tilted his head back up-right and grinned as she told him he was 'freakin' amazing'. He took his feet off the table, one at a time and sat up-right "Thank ye kindly for the compliment" he said, motioning for her to sit down on the other side of the table. He noticed her wiggling her hips, although it looked suggestive, he took it more as a habit, nothing in her voice sounded like she was trying to seduce him. "And what would ye'r name be lil' miss" He said with a grin.
The waitress had finally made her way back with some food for Chesh, giving him a breakfast for dinner combo, which he didn't mind at all. He took a strip of bacon and put it in his mouth and put the plate in the center of the table "Eat if ye want, I'm not gonna eat it all" He said as he munched. He was as lean as he was for a reason, he never ate much, not that he wouldn't, more that he couldn't , he would fill up easily. "Doing the trick is easy, making 'em believe it's magic is the trick though" he said chuckling at the odd sentence he had just spoken.

"Dolores, but everyone calls me Lo. Or Dolly." Smirking as she did so, she took a seat not across from him, but squeezed her tiny frame onto his lap, and crossed her legs soon afterward. He definitely shouldn't mind. Nobody ever does. Seeing him up close, she could now more fully appreciate his very eccentric yet attractive looks. She felt tempted to run her hands through his pink hair, just to see if it would feel any different from her own. His eyes were a bright purple. and seemed to cast a spell from immediate eye contact. They young girl bit her lip, and felt a shiver go down her spine at the rush she felt, it seemed almost electrifying. Her childing naivete made her believe that it was because he was like no other being, no other normal being anyway. He was magic. A wizard. He could cast spells, make things float and disappear. She had watched magic performed on the streets by other people, but none of them looked as flashy as Mr. Verto. By that immature reduction, she assumed that he was more powerful than the others.
She wondered if he had went to any magical school for training. Like Hogwarts. She had seen the Harry Potter movies, but didn't go off and read the books because she always found them a little boring. She trusted her friend Monica to fill her in, being the more academic of the two. Oh, and he had a smell that she couldn't trace. The mystery of it all made her feel like she wanted to know more, to hear about the secrets of the magical world of his. She could very much relate, having close to no identity on the stage whenever she was out dancing with that mask she constantly wore, voice ringing out with words that were never her own- but of someone else's, some character from a Disney film. As the plate was presented to them, she got a look of nastiness from the waitress who instantly categorized her as some usual prostitute because of where she took her seat. Shooting a look back, she widened her dazzling blue eyes to intimidate the woman, as if to say. Don't be jealous. I'm just gorgeous and can get around easier. At his offer, she couldn't help but giggle shyly, a swinging her feet slowly as she sat, bashful at his thoughtfulness.
It was always an act she pulled, it seemed like people could never resist a cute little girl. Scratch that- it wasn't an act. Dolores was truly always like this, and it seemed like she never grew out of it. "Uh, ewwie yuck." Her face turned into a grimace at the food, she could practically see the grease drips on the sides of the plate. Leaning into the magician, she rested his head affectionately on his shoulder, her hand trailing up his chest to play with the material on his shirt. "Oh, no thank you. You don't understand. I've had more meat in my mouth to last nine lives." She giggled again, purposefully setting up some innuendo to tempt the man. Smiling at up him- innocent face plastered on his features, even though she clearly had anything but innocent thoughts flying around her head, she snuggled up to the crook of his neck as her hot breath steamed up that lovely sliver of skin she found there. At his explanation of magic, her jaw went slack in wonder. "I know it isn't easy." She stubbornly said, "Because if it was, I'd be able to do it too. And I've tried to doing magic. But my mother scolds me because I usually broke something." A light whimper and she pouted into him, "You make it seem so easy though, mister. I think it's magic. You're magic. It ain't no trick."

As he felt the small frame set itself comfortably on his lap, he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. Maybe he had misread this situation, maybe the girl really was trying to seduce him. If anyone knew chesh well, they would know hard of a man he was to seduce. Yes he would talk to you, strike up conversation, but Chesh had never in his life even so much as liked another person in a sense that he could date them. Of course there was a reason for that, if he had sexual desires towards another person, his mind would be clouded, and his magic would be shoddy at best, and if a person knew Chesh, they knew that magic was his life. "Lo it is then" he said with his crooked grin, as he wondered what was going through the young girls head at this moment. He didn't particularly mind her sitting on him, at least the girl wasn't heavy in the least bit, but he felt nothing special about having her on him either.
As the waitress was about to ask the girl if she would like any thing to drink or eat, she gave the girl a look of disgust, which was quickly returned with a harsh glare from the girl. She turned away and stormed off towards the kitchen. Chesh could only chuckle as what had just happened here, as he put his food back on his place and pushed it aside, he wasn't that hungry to begin with. He wasn't quite sure what to make of this girl, some of her actions and words were that of a child, yet she seemed to try to present herself as an adult. She seemed to know that she was in fact a pretty little number, but there was just sort of childish innocence about her.
He felt her head resting on his shoulder, and her hand making its way up his chest, which gave him a shock more than anything, making him flinch back a bit. Rarely did chesh touch people...especially in an affectionate way, and in return, he rarely got touched as well. He looked at her, the smile never leaving his face, and pulled her away from him when he felt her hot breath on the nape of his neck. "Don't ye think ye'r goin a bit far lil' miss" he said, his voice never wavering and ever smiling. 'I Think it's magic. You're magic.' said the girl. Chesh cocked his head to the side "Ye got it through ye'r mind I'm magic eh?" he cackled at the thought, as he wondered how this girl could even manage to think that magic was nothing but a trick on the mind. Sure the act itself was magical to watch, and if you weren't doing it, you couldn't figure it out, but only a bloke would believe in real magic. "I don' mean to be an arse, but how old are ye?" he said his grin growing a little wider. Possibly this was the reason the girl was acting so rash towards Chesh, if she really believed in magic, and thought he was a real magician, of course she'd want a piece of him.

"Far in what?" Dolores played dumb, trying to not act liek she knew what he was talking about. She paid absolutely no attention tot he voyeurs would would indeed be watching her display of outright touches between she and the magician. They had their own business- why look at her own? Why was it not working? He didn't seem liek he was at all interested. Mona told her about these men, who gladly let women touch them but seemed relaxed and content with whatever. Oh god- was he gay? Like, one of those happy-go-lucky homosexual men who were close enough with women and liked to play with their minds for a bit? Even if- she knew what she wanted and thought she was so beautiful and powerful that she could turn any gay man straight. But wait- was any of that morally right? She already had sex at 14- what else was against her? As she began to think and play with her collar some more, her friend, Mona's voice, played in her head.
There was a conversation they had a while back about sexuality and she couldn't exactly remember all that was said, because she was too busy trying to get a peek at the television. There was a particular game show playing that struck her interest. It was probably Deal or No Deal- she was addicted to that show. But anyway- it was probably about how Mona didn't take a fancy at all to people who were interested and hit on her like it was no tomorrow. Dolores was in no way desperate- she considered herself just a determined individual, and like a bratty child- it frustrated her that he wasn't reacting the way she wanted. No hands on her hips, no playing with her hair, nothing. He just smiled at her and spoke in that whimsical foreign accent that turned her own even more. She wished she could slap him, and she would if she wasn't so concerned about a fight breaking lose. How about she not get arrsted for assult? It would be a very petty reason to start a brawl. But damn it- she wanted him to fall under her spell like so many did.
"Yes, of course I think you're magic." Dolores confidently spoke, taking her hands back and crossing them over her chest, giving him a daring stare with her blue eyes. "And I've just turned 18." She lowered her voice then, as if telling a deep, dark secret, "Absolutely nothing to worry about if you ever feel the urge to act upon those deep, dark, feelings I'm hoping you have for me already. I know I'm quite the charmer." Okay, so she lied about her age. But it was something she was so used to- she told all of her bedmates that and didn't give ti another question. Although- she didn't know if they really believed her, or just didn't care because their eyes were glazed with lust over her slim and scantily clad body on their bed. Or couch. Or kitchen counter. Or basically wherever was the place they decided to do the nasty. "You must know, sir. You're very enchanting. Maybe you could teach my privately. I'm a real good student. Best one in my class." Another lie. She was one of the worst students, but that was just because of her attention span. If she put her mind to it, she knew she would at least be a fraction better and more productive with her time.

He chuckled at the young girl and spoke quietly "Takin' ye'r joke a bit far I mean." He hoped he had not insulted her in any way, but he was in no way about to take advantage of this poor young girl. She seemed like she was used to doing what she did, but she probably not as used to being rejected. A thought came to his mind, if she was used to hitting on men, and men always responding to her in a positive way. If this one time a man rejected her...she probably thought Chesh was gay. The thought put a grin on his face as he laughed loudly, he really didn't care about gender when it came to dating or more, but to be honest, he rarely was with someone.
" 'scuse my outburst" he said as he chuckled softly to himself. He cleared his throat as she began to talk again and just let a soft smile make its way across his face. "18 eh? Ye' sure about that? I'm not questionin' ye' , ye' just look...no rather ye' seem younger" he said as he tilted his head to the side. He couldn't place his finger on it, no doubt the girl dressed like an adult, and tried to put on a show to seem like an adult, but the air around her was that of a childs...then again he could be wrong.
He looked at her, quirking up one eyebrow "Deep dark urges? An' what kind of urges might these be?" he said grinning, he knew exactly what he meant. She had been playing dumb with him most of this time, he could tell, so why not play with her head a bit, and play dumb right back. "Well, I don' usually teach magic. I teach studies...and occasionally some manners to my good frien' Hatter, but magic? That's somethin' ye' gotta learn on ye'r own...it's hard to explain lil' miss" he said chuckling, as he picked up a piece of bread from the plate, and taking a small bite out of it. "But, if ye' insist, I could let ye' intern as my assistant on stage yeah? Though, it'd be a full time job, ye'd have to quit what ye'r doin now" He said gleefully, he had a rough idea of what her life was like. He knew that whatever job she had, it wasn't a pure good job, otherwise she wouldn't be so persistent towards Chesh...no one was ever this persistent. Well rather no one was ever persistent at all.

"My joke?" Dolores giggled then, complete with the ever-so-popular 'put your hands over your mouth like a seven year old while you blush'. "Oh, I'm not joking at all! But I like jokes. Is that another gift of yours, mister? I like to laugh." She was pulling out all the stops now. Why was he not falling? She tried to hurt her frustration with her flirtatiousness and tried to read the boundary as lightly as she could without going over board. She took a few seconds to wiggle whilst in his lap, a light grind to attempt in rousing whatever senses of masculinity/sex drive he could have had. Dolores knew she was an attractive girl- and never encountered someone refusing her advances. It was weird, and she quite frankly was at a loss of what to do to further convince him of playing along with her. As he apologized for his outburst, she simply huffed a breath in response, rolling her eyes. She played with a lock of her own hair, twirling in in her fingers and she leaned over the table, a little further from making more body contact.
The young girl only turned back to him to respond as she was playing with the food in the center of the table with the utensil she found laid beside it on a napkin. "Uh, helloooo?" She spat back like the tone of the lovechild between annoyed valley girl teenager and captain obvious, "I think I would know about how old I am. Don't be a hater. I just like being young. Better than being an old lady, right? Who's attracted to old ladies?" Sighing she sat back once again into his chest, blinking up. "Everyone likes little girls anyway, right? They ask you for money to buy ice cream or a lollipop- and random onlookers just give it to them." She sweetly smiled, and let her overally strap slide past her shoulder. Oh, she noticed, but didn't care. "Deep dark urges like... well, not deep dark. They're supposed to make you feel good. I love to make people feel good, mister. I know how. Believe me." She put one of her hands on either side of his face, looking into his beautiful purple eyes and stuck her tongue out, swinging her legs once more as a sign to show she was full of energy again.
"Teaching studies...?" Now lust aside for a while, she was mildly interested in what he had to say. "How do you teach studies? Is that...a lesson on...how like... how to study?" Tilting her head to the side, her mind was wondering how that would work out. As she was once again throttled in an effort to learn magic, she tried to hide how hurt she was. Dolores only had to chuckle in response to the magician teaching his friend some manners. It took her back when she was high class and had to learn how to say the right things and be polite. How constricting it was. People didn't always get by on manners, but it was a very useful thing in the right environment. She was kept in many a store for her impeccable facade even though she dressed like a Playboy Bunny. As an offer was given to her, she widened her eyes in a mixture of shock and awe. It was like being some sidekick in an animated Disney film. "Oh, do ya mean it?" She let out an exaggerated gasp that turned heads, seduction far from her mind and nonexistant. "...Q-quit my job? I... I dance. Would I be able to dance?" It scared her how she was really considering this.

He chuckled at her response, wondering if she really did know how old she was. Of course she knew but, she could have somewhere in side her fooled herself into thinking she was older...but that probably wasn't it, she probably just liked messing with peoples heads. He lifted an eyebrow as he watched the overall shoulder strap fall past her shoulder, admittedly he was intrigued, after all the girl was quite attractive, but he wasn't about to put his hand on an under-aged girl "Pesky lil' things straps are, aren' they?" he said chuckling.
He felt her hands on both sides of his face, as he stared right back into her eyes "Not sure ye' can put that down as a special skill on an application dear" he said with a slight smirk. He tilted his head to the side thinking about how to explain his study teaching "No, it's not teachin' ye' how to study, it's more like teachin' ye whatever needs to be studied...History, Math, those sorts of things yeah?" he said smiling at her.
Oh , well this was promising though, the youngin' seemed to want to join his little magic fiasco. More than that really, she seemed very excited about it, she sounded completely sincere. He smiled gently at her and nodded "Yes, I would like ye' to join" He said while tilting his head to the side. He knew what she meant by dance...he didn't think that sort of dance would go over well with the people who came to see his show. "Ye can do ballet or tap dancin lil' girl..I don' think ye'r kind of dancing will bode well with my audience" he said chuckling softly "but I promise ye won't want to do anythin' other than magic once ye' get a taste of it" he grinned, he knew he couldn't get enough of magic, it was doubtful that she would be able to resist it.

"Yeah they're pesky. Maybe it would be better if I just stopped having them on or took them off?" Dolores waggled her eyebrows, persistent. As he explained his 'teaching studies', she merely nodded, entranced, but once those subject sunk in, she bit her lip and furrowed her eyebrows. "What? Ew. History and Math are boring. We can do without them." Dolores didn't want to even think about school or classes. "Oh, I'm a good ballet student. I don't take tap, though." She commented slightly timid at the choices presented to her, then it dawned on her...what- "..Wait! What do you mean 'my dancing', I don't think you've ever seen me dance before, mister. Try to think before you say things. I have feelings, you know!" Dolores swatted at the man's chest, mock sniffling. In a wink, she was once again sunny as could be, excited about the pursuit of magic, brushing her bittersweet feeling of letting go of dance aside.
She knew she had to remain positive through the transition or she would never survive. "Can I do Disney songs? Where I dance, I do Disney songs... they count as magic, right? Because... I mean... what's more magic than Disney?" Her eyes were totally lit up, and she was fangirling all over again. But as always, there had to be a tiny pinch of sex appeal dripping that she created from his last sentence. "You don't realize how good that sounds..." Nudging him once more, she batted her eyelashes at him, trying to play up the 'oh, I'm totally flirting with you, but I don't care...just give in please?'. Once out of that, she waved her hand in the air, calling for a waitress. "Hey lady, give me an apple juice, will ya?" Dolores asked while the woman rushed off to get the simple order out. Oh, how she hoped that this new adventure with this magic man would be a success. "Hey hey- I think I'm a little magic after all, wanna see?"
She tried to inhale a couple breaths to get her mind calm and ready, closing her eyes. Lo peeked through an open eyelid to make sure he watched her every move. "Watch and observe."
