Her father sends her money every week to try and win his daughters affection back. It hasn't worked yet.
III. sample postLacy stood on the Broadway stage, alone and waiting. She knew the director of the upcoming show would be strolling through at any minute. She was determined to show him that she deserved more of the spot light. The cool hard wood floor felt good beneath her soft sole shoes. Cold air raced in from behind her as if someone had just walked by in the shadows. Lacy didnt mind being watched. She put her hands above her head and began to slowly turn. Her feet were so soft and delicate that they were barely audiable. Her body flowed with the grace of a swan. Twisting and turning, she began to spin...faster...faster...faster. Her vision stopped on her father's face.
"[Lacy, what are you doing?"]
Her frustration with him kept her silent and she kept time with the music that she had playing. He was not going to ruin her concentration.
" Go away Papa" She continued to dance with a cold indifference. She could hear her father sniffling. She refused to give into his antics. When she stopped and stared at him, he got the message loud and clear. He left without another word and she began to dance again.
Her body swayed and kept moving until she heard a voice behind her.
"Good Evening...."
