SHERLOCK DEIGNS TO REMIND . . . AWARDS . . . HONESTLY, I JUST WANTED TO SHARE THIS DELICIOUS GIF. It's been a while since the last one, but it's that time again! If you can, please vote for every category. If you absolutely cannot think of anything, though, you can skip them. Voting ends January 30th. Each first place winner will get a small banner to put in their signature and their picture will be up in the sidebar. All award graphics will be kept in a thread located in this section. HOW THIS WORKS: Each first place mention receives 2 votes and each second place mention receives 1. Votes are tallied and a winner is announced. Also, we would love it if you give us a reason for why you're voting for them. Make sure not to just vote for the same person over and over again, and preferably not yourself. You can also give people "honorable mentions" if you simply just can't pick only 2 people for a category. Just mention them and although they won't be counted in voting, you can still give them props! Note that the same character cannot win in the same category two months in a row. Also note that for pairing it doesn't have to be all romantic, it can simply be a duo or tag team. Remember, you get points for voting! Female of the Month: 1. Charrie - Why 2. Charrie - Why
Male of the Month: 1. Charrie - Why 2. Charrie - Why
Pairing of the Month: 1. Charries - Why 2. Charries - Why
Thread of the Month: 1. Thread Title (charries) - Why 2. Thread Title (charries) - Why
Note: Reminder for you lovely folks to keep on posting, especially in the NYE thread. We've got big plans for that, after all. ;P

Female of the Month: 1. Lucy Harris – It’s about damn time you got that girl on the site, Al. And yeah, you haven’t posted as her hardly at all, but as usual, those posts are brilliant beyond measure. Just read one of her posts, that way I don’t actually need to write out the reasons here. 2. Eponine Thenadier – I am so glad to have this character back! Spunky, tough, but vulnerable on the inside, Eppie is a wonderful character to read all the time.
Male of the Month: 1. Claudius Chandler – Okay. So. One, Nessie and I have been threading the shit out of Claudius and Hector and this character is developing so suddenly and beautifully it’s almost painful. I love it. From the happy go lucky drunkard to the sad, depressed, pathetic middle aged man who refuses to acknowledge that he’s grown up. Easily one of the best characters on the site. Easily. And a personal favorite of mine. 2. The Count of Monte Cristo – A mysterious character, full of intrigue and compassion. It’s an odd grouping of characteristics that most writers wouldn’t be able to pull off but Jaime does it so well, it isn’t even funny.
Pairing of the Month: 1. Mycroft Holmes and Sherlock Holmes – These two have a wonderful and interesting dynamic. They can’t stand each other and Sherlock hates Lard Ass…I mean, Mycroft poking his nose into his business but Mycroft is genuinely worried about his younger brother. I love the sparring and competitive nature between them. 2. Gregory Lestrade and B. Chase Davidson – There’s just something about these two…I can’t put my finger on it. They complement each other beautifully and have an interesting air between them that makes them a pleasure to read.
Thread of the Month: 1. After the Fact (The Holmes Brothers) – See reason for Lard Ass and the Rag Doll. (Mike and Sherl) 2. The Sound of Madness (Monte Cristo and Claudius Chandler) - *FLAILS* Two of my favorite rp-ers on the site in one thread. Tension, drama, a little bit of angst, and two incredible characters. What isn’t there to love?
No honorable mentions this go around since the site’s been awfully slow.

Female of the Month: 1. Jane Eyre - Personally I think Jane should be Charrie of the Month because 1) she's an amazing character that has so many plots and threads with almost everyone on site, and 2) Jane is one of the most active characters on site! 2. Eponine Thenadier - I think that Kay has this one down to the money. I love the personality of this character and am happy to have her on site.
Male of the Month: 1. The Count of Monte Cristo - Seriously does this character even need an explanation from me? I love all the threads that this character is in and the way he is written just is wonderful. I don't know what else I can say that won't sound like my fangirling. 2. Mycroft Holmes - I Fucking love this character seriously he is the shit! Seriously I get addicted to every thread that I read with him in there. Damn even the plots i hear about outside of threads just make me want to beg for more!
Pairing of the Month: 1. Mycroft/James - ....Well I love Jam, seriously I love Jam! and these two write jam wonderfully! I dare someone to write Jam as well as these two do! James and Mycroft are such a good pair together and I really just love them 2. The Count/ Claudius - I think these two are wonderful together! Seriously I think that they are great! I've read the Sound of Madness and just think that there is not a better pair that could write that.
Thread of the Month: 1. Depths of Despair (Sherlock/James) - Well I love these two together. Seriously this thread is just amazing the mental thoughts of these two and their relationship throughout the thread just blow me away. 2. Circus(Jane/The Count) - These two have amazing chemistry in this thread. Not in the way that's romantic, but more of the friendship almost family way. Their consideration and kindness towards another is just shone beautifully in this thread.

Female of the Month:1. Lucy Harris - I think I've stated before when voting that I'm not the best at articulating my opinions into readable sentences, so I'll apologize in advance on how brief and unfocused these reasons will be. And yes, I did decide to write this here just to take up a little bit of space so it looks like I've written more - to answer that question you're probably not asking right now. Anyhoo, I happen to agree whole-heartedly with Kay's reasons. So there isn't much left to say. Apart from the fact that I shall be wanting to get one of my characters to thread with you soon, Al. If you'll have 'em. 2. Jane Eyre - Because I love Jane, really, I do. And I think that I almost always nominate her for this, but oh well. She deserves it. Male of the Month:1. Mayor Hector "Hades" Tormei - Because of reasons. Lots of reasons, actually. There's the fact that I just love Kay's writing anyway (seriously, really do), and also that Hector is just marvelous. Cue cheesy grin. 2. The Count Of Monte Cristo - I simply adore him. Bree-liant. 'Nuff said. Pairing of the Month:1. Hector/Claudius - The NYE thread. Just... gah. Gaaaah. Big gah. There, explanation sorted. 2. Lestrade/Seb - This shouldn't even be questioned. Thread of the Month:1. We Are Nowhere and It's Now (Lestrade, Seb) - For the funnies (another cheesy grin should fit in right about here). It's hilarious, and fortunately I know what's planned here. And my oh my, I really can't wait to read it. 2. NYE Thread - The Game Room (Claudius, Hector) - This is one of my favourite's at the moment. I do really, really like it. Very much. The writing is incredible - and I love it far more than my own (obviously), which really didn't do any good for my current lack of muse. Oh well. It's brilliant, that's my excuse. Pretty good one too, so don't judge. Obviously, I fail tremendously at writing explanations. So here's something for the funnies:

Female of the Month: 1. Eponine Thenardier - I'm so pleased to have Sarah back among us and her Eponine is a character I have missed greatly as wel! Eponine's street smarts and contemplations are such fun to read, and I'm really enjoying her thread with Claudius. (: 2. Beatrice 'Monica' Hecate - I'm really enjoying seiing this character in action more in the NYE thread - the relationship developing between her and Monte Cristo is an interesting one and I look forward to seeing more of Beatrice in this thread and others.
Male of the Month: 1. The Count of Monte Cristo - Seriously, Monte should have won this one yonks ago. Monte Cristo is a fully developed and amazing character and Jaime writes him with such skill - I adore this character. 2. Mayor Hector 'Hades' Tormei - The development of his character recently has been fantastic, especially in the NYE thread. The relationship between him and Claudius is especially interesting to flesh out - they're a strange pair yet their strong friendship remains so. That makes me happy even though they aren't the nicest of guys.
Pairing of the Month: 1. Jane Eyre & The Count of Monte Cristo - I adore the dynamic between them and their blossoming friendship. It brings a smile to my face to read their thread - no alcohol, no debauchery, no snobbiness - just a developing friendship. Happy times. :3 2. Lucy Harris/Henry Jekyll - Do I need a reason for this? Oh my goodness, both these characters are epic and I can't wait to see how this relationship is going to develop! (:
Thread of the Month: 1. Depths of Despair (Sherlock Holmes/James 'Moriarty' Edwards) - Sherlock and Moriarty. Should be enough said there, really. But I must go on and say that these characters play off against each other so so well, and this fantastic thread between them (particullarly both their inner comments about the other) is such fun to read. 2. April's Fool (Roger Davis/Jehanne Marie D'Arc) - I rediscovered this thread this month after Sammeh's latest post and I recalled how much it love it. This is asuch an unual pairing but Jehanne and Roger's conflicting beliefs are developing into a fascinating conversation. Love it.

Female of the Month: 1. Jane Eyre - Jane is just the sweetest thing ever, yet she's got a toughness, an edge to her. That's gotta be hard to balance, but Kay manages it with beauty. 2. Beatrice 'Monica' Hecate - To be honest, I didn't discover this character until the NYE thread, when Steph and I had decided to test out how she and Monte Cristo would get along. Now I absolutely adore her, and Steph's writing is really brilliant.
Male of the Month: 1. Sherlock Holmes - One of my favored characters in literature, delivered perfectly in RP form. This is a thanks of sorts. 2. Claudius Chandler - Most players like their characters to be somewhere approaching perfect. (Me included.) But Claudius is so flawed that, if he wasn't written so divinely, one would think his writer hated him. But Ness puts so much care into him that it can only be a case of a superb writer filling out an amazing character. Hats off and muffins out, love.
Pairing of the Month: 1. Hector Tormei and Claudius Chandler - What everyone else said. The dynamic between these two is crazy yet somehow sweet. Plus, two of MY fave RPers on the site! 2. Sherlock Holmes and James 'Moriarty' Edwards - I can't think of anyone who hasn't already been mentioned, and I think all the mentions deserve all teh awardz. So here's a nod to two awesome charries with crazy rapport.
Thread of the Month: 1. Game Room (Claudius and Hector) - I wasn't going to add this thread since I also did for pairing, but I read it over and couldn't stop laughing and smiling. So here it is! 2. And It All Falls Down (Jane and Edward) - This thread is only beginning, but I'm so curious to see where it goes. Partly because Emcee is in the back of my head cracking his knuckles protective-big-brother style. Mostly because Jane and Edward's first meeting went so… captivatingly? that I'm ready for Part 2.

(Apologies for the lateness on this. Wasn't expecting my Interwebz to get thoroughly pwned. See Away Board. I also apologize for the brevity of these nominations. Had to hammer them out quite quickly, I'm afraid. :3) Female of the Month:1. Jane Eyre - Oh, I honestly don't know why. Just like I don't know why I've nominated her almost every time awards come up. It's probably because I hate her so goddamn much. It's not like I think she's the most exquisite female character on here and deserves her fair due. Not at all. /sarcasm 22. Fiona "Fanny" Price - She's relatively new here, but she's definitely well-written and always a delightful read. Lenni was absent for a bit due to comp troubles (I feel ya, broseph), but is now back and I'm all the happier for it. Take a gander at some of this character's posts. This is one to definitely watch for. Male of the Month:1. Count of Monte Cristo - Cowboy Cristo (how I'll always refer to him as thanks to Yolzeh) and his jangling spurs deserve a win by now. Long overdue is this fucking unbelievable character's recognition. I'll be honest. I'm constantly in awe of Jaimekinz' talent. The only reason I haven't forced my character down Jaimekinz' throat ( ) is because I feel totally dwarfed by her talent. Hey, at least I'm honest, right? Wuv yew, Jaimekinz. Keep on rocking our world, babes. :3 2. Greg Lestrade - I'm honestly gobsmacked no one has mentioned Greg "Not My Division" Lestrade yet. This is one of my favorite characters to check up on, creepy as that sounds. If you stalked The 'Strade even only a fraction, you'd know why I listed him here. Gabby writes him so well, it's unreal. The passion of him, the fury, all explored masterfully in the hospital thread between him and Sherly was such a treat. A gift, really. Pairing of the Month:1. Mycroft & Sherlock - The Holmes Bros. (incidentally bring up images of Mario and Luigi when I refer to them as such) have the best dynamic. EVER. I'm seriously sitting there with a big shit-eating grin on my face whenever I read their interactions. I also "d'awwwed" over Mycroft's brotherly concern in the hospital thread with Sherlock. As priggish and totally detached as both of them are, when it's just them as older brother and little bro, the connection, even if only by familial obligation, totally breaks through the layers of ice built up around them and makes them . . . well, human. 2. The Count and Beatrice Hecate - They've got tremendous chemistry, don't they? Power pairings. Gotta love 'em. I can't wait to continue stalking their development. Thread of the Month:1. Boys Night Out (Hector & Claudius) - Just read the damn thread. These two are just so lulzy together. The best unlikely friends ever. 2. Depths of Despair (Moriarty & Sherly) - Oh wow do these two play off of each other so well. They've won this award before (for a different thread) and if you read their posts, you'll understand why. When these two get together, they make gold. *Honorable Mention - This isn't a legit nomination since you can't really nominate one-shots, but seriously. Emmy, ALL THE AWARDS FOR YOU. All of your Sherly one-shots are like a gift to me. I honestly squee every time you post a new one and I'm not even kidding. My roomie even knows about them because I show them to her. It's a bit creepy, honestly. xD
