Calling all Musketeers!
Alright, so my dog chewed my shoes and I need a pick me up. So instead of making friends with newer, prettier shoes, I'm requesting people-type friends for Peter!
Meet Peter! He is a lonely Musketeer! Seriously, he’s all for one right now! So, here are the friends he'd love to have:
Porthos
Taken on by the lovely Trae!
Porthos is, in a word, awesome. He’s honest, loyal, and loves life with a zeal few possess. He is out going and loves to have a good time! He’s been said to be a bit gullible, but who wouldn’t be for a pretty woman? He’s the humorous one of the group, the light hearted extrovert who balances out Athos’ brooding intensity and Aramis’ caring dedication, thus he’s truly essential and at the top of my most wanted list!
D'Artagnan
Taken on by the lovely Julie!
D'Artagnan is the character in the stories who grows the most from a hot-headed youth with the ambition and drive to be a Musketeer, to a loyal friend and wise leader. He is portrayed as the youngest of the group, the one who is still learning and making his way in the world, so the older Musketeers look out for him, even if he is able to take care of himself. He is an intense young man who will take on the world in order to do something right. However, he has been known to get himself in trouble by trying to prove himself. It’s an admirable flaw and his friends always have his back.
Our dear Athos left before she and Aramis could ever interact, which is sad. So, Peter definitely wants an Athos, too!
Athos is all around awesome, even if he is a bit of a tragic character. He once loved a woman who betrayed him by keeping secrets, and he betrayed her by doing the right thing. He is bitter about love, drinking his sorrows away. However, he is also a good man who has a driving intensity to do his job and uphold his personal morals. He is secretive about his past, trusting few with it, showing he has a great respect for those few people.
Older than Aramis, Porthos, and D'Artagnan (Though you can make him whatever age you want) Athos is a father figure in the book. His brooding intensity and leadership keep the others on track and he is a great character!
So if you are interested in being a Musketeer, go for it! We'd be pleased to have you - especially poor, lonely Peter!
