The New Year’s Eve Party hosted by Mayor Hector Tormei only a few months ago has been given a scandalous new twist due to leaked footage from the security tapes at the mansion hired to play host to the event. The footage shows Mayor Tormei and Claudius Chandler (the Chief Executive Officer of Hamlet Enterprises) embracing and, later, kissing each other, leading to a great deal of speculation as to the nature of their relationship.
The relationship between the Mayor and the CEO had, on the surface, appeared professional, if not also friendly, until this tape was released – now their interactions with each other are being viewed in a new light. Tormei’s usually calm and collected demeanour in comparison with Chandler’s usual exuberance had meant that even before this point the reasons for their friendship were subject to speculation. However, in light of the evidence this tape provides hinting at something more than friendship, perhaps theirs is a case of opposites attract.
That isn’t to say the interaction between Chandler and Tormei as seen in the tape was all sunshine and roses. Indeed, the prelude to the first kiss appeared confrontational, with Tormei initially grabbing Chandler and appearing to impart a threat. However the second of the two kisses they shared was more intimate in nature, although nothing more occurred between the couple afterwards due to the arrival of another guest in the room.
