00V. description You see that girl over there? You know, the one perched on the wall with the complete works of Shakespeare opened on her lap. Of course you do. How can you miss that fiery red hair and those perfect, bright blue eyes? Today she’s wearing a pair of dark washed jeans and a striped black and white t-shirt. She’s sporting a pair of red converse high tops, just one of the many currently finding a home in her closet. AJ is simple. She doesn’t need tons of makeup or expensive clothing; in fact, she prefers her macrobiotic lip balm and plain, organic cotton shirts that she owns. Sometimes you’ll find her off by herself studying or reading up on the latest political scandal like she is today. But, a lot of the time she is encircled by her gang of unruly activist friends who are after referred to as Robin Hood and the Merry Men. AJ always thought it would make an interesting band name. In class, AJ is attentive and diligent, only speaking when she has something important to say. She’s soft-spoken, in general, but, strategic and incredibly adept at sleuthing and trouble-making. AJ doesn’t get caught but, on the rare occasion she does she’s cunning and clever and can talk her way out of almost anything. Most people don’t notice her; they are too busy staring at Robin and John who tend to gather a bit more attention. However, her professors are quite impressed with her work ethic and do recognize her for her efforts. Big businesses don’t know her by name but, they certainly notice the little scarlet alpha symbol after a shipment goes missing.
[/li][li]Creative: AJ is creative in two ways: the typical artistic sense and the way in which her brain works. She has a tendency to think "outside the box" in order to get in and out of situations. If you need someone to make a plan, AJ’s your girl. A master at plotting protests and getaways, she's well versed and ready for action.
00I. overall personality AJ may be the soft-spoke on in the group but, don’t let that fool you. She’s a spitfire that’s got a thing for trouble. The product of a local businessman turned activist, AJ has always had a thing for the community. She wasn’t to do anything she can to stop white collar crime and big business takeovers. A big part of AJ’s life is spent with Robin and the gang. They do normal teenage/college stuff like chill out and watch movies but, they also have a secret life. They like to sabotage and steal from large companies who are damaging society. Nottingham Industries is the major target however they are in business with several other smaller companies. Vengeful and diligent, AJ has been collecting evidence against the companies CEO who she’s positive ordered the hit on her father. But, without proper evidence a jury will never convict; speculation won’t get you anywhere.
AJ is incredibly loyal, level-headed, and determined. She’s the glue that keeps the group together. Most of the guys are passionate and rash but, AJ likes to think things through before she acts. She’s an excellent student and managed to earn herself a full ride to NYU based on test scores, essays, and FASFA forms. She’s adept at Political Science, English, and art. Painting is her passion although; she doesn’t plan to pursue it as a career. She is far more interested in helping her community through policy and writing. But, for now sneaking around after hours defiling private property and sticking it to the man is satisfaction enough. AJ is charming albeit, rather quiet, her friends would call her cunning, creative, and easy-going. She has this ability to let things roll off her back and doesn’t let many things bother her. But, when she gets fired up about something you know it’s important.

0II. strengths
[/li][li]Not gullible. Don't try and pull the wool over her eyes. She's been through enough in her life to tell when someone is trying to scam her. A life with her father has taught her how to sniff out crooks and see through a con.
[/li][li]Athletic. All those years of protesting had taught AJ a thing or two about exercise. If you weren't in shape, you couldn't run. And if you couldn't run, you got tear gassed. And being gassed was not fun. AJ has excellent endurance and agility. Since she's at NYU she’s been taking full advantage of the student gym.
[/li][li]Determined & Persistent. Just like her old man, AJ will never back down from anything. When she sets her mind to something it gets done no matter what obstacles or consequences stand between her and the endpoint.
[/li][li] Intelligent. AJ is a hard worker but, she’s also smart. Not only does she hit the books and come back with almost straight A’s, she’s also street smart. AJ’s got a good head on her shoulders and knows when it’s time to move and when it’s time to stay put.
[/li][li] Loyal. She’s not a rat. So, if you manage to snag her while the rest of her crew skip off into the sunset, don’t think she’s going to spill the beans on the whole operation or give you any information regarding those involved. She’s loyal as hell to her gang and more importantly too proud to give you that satisfaction.
III. weaknesses
[/li][li] Robin Hood and the gang: she’ll do anything to protect them.
[/li][li] Pride/Stubbornness: She may be the quiet one in the gang but, that doesn’t mean she’s weak or without backbone. AJ is stubborn and won’t give anyone an inch she doesn’t believe deserves it. Set in her ways, she’s great under pressure but, that’s also a negative. When faced with danger she’s not afraid to stand up and as the saying goes the nail pointed up gets hammered down.
[/li][li] Curiosity: AJ is naturally curious, she wants to know what’s going on and will do what ever it takes to find out. But, curiosity has a way of landing her in precarious situations.
[/li][li] Her half-sibling. They may not be completely related but, family is family and they are all each other has left.
[/li][li] AJ is on scholarship to NYU so, someone with power could hold that over her head if they ever needed a little extra push to convince her to do something.
[/li][li] That little pack of cigarettes that occasionally call her name. She tries to fight the temptation and does for the most part but, just occasionally when stress mounts up, she caves.
0IV. goals AJ is dead set on graduating with high honors from NYU. She wants to go on after graduation to help battle against big businesses and white collar crime. But, on a lesser scale she just wants to find someone she can fall for.

00I. notable family & friends Jack Scarlett(deceased), Katherine Scarlett (deceased), Half-Sibling Scarlett, Robin Hood, Alan A’dale, Little John, and Maid Marion.
0II. overall history Aurora June Scarlett was born to New York natives Katherine and Jack Scarlett on February 17th, 1991. Her father owned a local business while her mother worked from the home doing accounting and book management for several local shops. From an early age AJ was engaged in literature and politics. Her mother had quite the book collection in their small apartment while her father was absorbed in the local political storm. She loved learning from her parents, soaking up what ever she could when they were around. Her mother passed away from cancer in 1996. Her father was devastated.
He immersed himself in his work, adding a book shop to his small store in memory of his wife. AJ worked in the shop after school and on weekends because money was tight and it would help her father. Things took a turn for the worst when Nottingham Industries attempted to buy out the neighborhood and revitalize it into some shiny strip mall. All the local businesses apposed but, one by one they were run out of town. But, not AJ’s father. No, Jack wasn’t going to budge for anyone. The company warned that it was a dangerous neighborhood and they were going to clean it up but, Mr. Scarlett knew better. It was a safe street, it always had been. That was until 2008.
The door was kicked open and three men all wearing masks burst into the shop. AJ was down in the basement moving stock when she heard the commotion. But, her father had latched the door when the men arrived to keep her safe. They wanted his money and he obliged them, emptying out the cash register. One of them stepped in front of the others, AJ never did get a chance to see his face as she squinted through the key hole. But, he pulled off his mask so that only Jack Scarlett could see. He looked horrified, all the color drained from his face. The man snarled at him telling him that this could have been avoided if he had just cooperated. Three gun shots later and Jack lay slumped on the floor. The men left in a hurry after that. AJ rammed into the door as hard as she could, over and over again, until the frame shifted the door swung open. She rushed to her father’s side he whispered one word and one word only “Nottingham.”
AJ finished her junior and senior year of high school bouncing between a local orphanage and a couple of friend’s houses. Her excellence in her studies garnered her a full scholarship to NYU which she happily accepted. Now she is in her Junior year at NYU majoring in Political Science and English. She’s joined a group of like minded individuals who like to have a little fun with Nottingham Industries and their associates. Sabotage and theft are they name of the game and AJ is damn good at playing. She’s determined to get revenge on the company who took her father from her.
III. sample postGlancing down at her hands, AJ could see the smears of red paint from last night. Whether they were from the scarlet alpha she’s tagged on the side of that delivery truck or the remnants of her latest painting, she wasn’t sure. It honestly didn’t matter all that much. She’d been sitting in the NYU library for the past two hours sifting through newspaper articles for her political science course: The Media and You! Which had proven to be a bit more time consuming than the rest of her classes. Her thick red hair had been tied back into a braid to prevent it from falling into her face which it so often did when she was hunched over and reading.
Her phone buzzed on the table. A low, grumbling tone signaling that Robin had once again texted her. She groaned quietly to herself before turning her cell off and continuing to look through the stacks. He always seemed to forget that being at university meant studying. Although, he didn’t really have to worry about that. While he had made friends with a motley crew of lower class activists just barely scraping but, he himself was from a higher caliber of family. In truth, Robin had money and didn’t need to focus on his GPA to keep his scholarship intact.
Her fingers paused over an article entitled “Nottingham Industries Breathes New Life into Old Technology”. Nottingham Industries . She pulled the page out and read it several times before reaching for her highlighter. The prompt had been to identify political slants in news articles and this one was chalked full of right wing propaganda. In her essay she’d leave out her personal vendettas and stick to the evidence given in ink. But, in her heart she couldn’t help the boiling hatred that always stirred when she heard those two words: Nottingham Industries. Hopefully, they enjoyed the little mess she and the guys had left for them last night. She wasn’t exactly sure what she was going to do with a hundred thousand little radio parts but, she did know what N.I. wouldn’t be doing with them. It made her smile to think about it. Maybe she could sell them and use the profit to help with the renovation of the soup kitchen down the street.
Yeah, that was much better than selling the pieces to the Chinese Military.
