So recently I have seen Prometheus , which scared me to death. I have this fear of alien movies that I'm trying to overcome. To say the least Prometheus is not the best movie to overcome that fear.
BUT....
Even though this movie made me want to hide under the bed and cry, it was excellently made! God Fassbender was so magnificent and wonderful and he was just the highlight of the movie!
So do you guys have any good movies you have seen recently?

Hmm...I am SO far behind on movies that it isn't even funny.
Last night I saw Captain America and thought it was an amazing story! It was light and fun in places, and sad in others. The cast was great and the story was good for non-Americans, too.
Another good movie recently seen was The Eagle. I'm on a Tatum kick and he was fantastic in it. Like epically fantastic. I love the story and the acting between Jamie Bell and Tatum was awesome.
On my "To See" list is The Expendables 2 (SO EXCITED FOR THIS) and The Avengers. I shall let you know what I think of them!

I've been on a movie-watching marathon this summer, thanks to Leffie! So... most of these movies have Ewan McGregor in them XD. A lot of them are also old, but I've only seem them for the first time now. Anywhere, here are a few of the best ones! - Down With Love - pure cuteness.
- Hunger Games - never read it completely, but I liked the movie.
- Miss Potter - more cuteness.
- About A Boy - Hugh Grant!
- I Love You Phillip Morris - So much cuteness I exploded.
- Beginners - SO much love
- Snow White And The Huntsman - it was good.
Also I've been trying to watch all the Averngers movies, they're good!

I realize this is old, and I'm only really posting on it because I'm lonely on here at the moment. XD I'm a very big film person. Seriously, I love them. I don't like going to the cinema because I usually nearly have a panic attack haha, but I do love films anyway! So this is gonna be a big list. - Top Gun. TOM CRUISE. IT'S TOM CRUISE. IT'S YOUNG TOM CRUISE. IT'S REALLY REALLY FIT TOM CRUISE. AND FIGHTER PILOTS. 'Nuff said. - Third Star. Words do not describe my love for this film. - Hugo. - BATMAN. Not only is he awesome, but Christian Bale is fine. - Notting Hill. - Four Weddings And A Funeral. - Actually, anything with Hugh Grant. Yeah. That's right. - Beginners. - Fight Club. - Love, Actually. - The Pianist. - Never Let Me Go. - Limitless. I could go on forever, but I don't feel like it. Haha.

Everyone should take anything Emmy recommends, whether it be movies, music or books, seriously, because she has the best recommendations ever.
EMMY I read Fight Club. The movie looks crazy violent so I'm not too keen on watching it but oh my god the book was so amazing >_<. Also, I ordered a bunch of the movies off that list from the library just now :3
Also I recommend Nowhere Boy, I forgot to say before, because it freaking amazing. And A Single Man with Colin Firth. And like Emmy said, Beginners because it's lovely and A Beautiful Mind because it's fantastically mind-blowing. not recent movies, but they're great.

I've been watching some independent films that are amazing. - Deranged (or Anacardium, depends on what they titled it)
- The Escapist
- Leave by Frank John Hughes
- I tried watching The Fourth Dimension with Val Kilmer but damn it, I needed to be high to watch that.
The Escapist and Leave are on Netflix, and The Fourth Dimension is on YouTube. You'd have to buy Deranged online for like five bucks but it's a goooood five bucks.

I looked at a few of those movies Luna... they look... action-y.
I'm sure ya'll have already seen this but I saw Meet The Parents finally... it was very anxiety-producing XD. I also saw Somewhere... REALLY slow but pretty movie. Lost in Tokyo was better. I've These Walls Can Talk, Pariah and Brokeback Mountain out too, but it's taking me forever to watch them. They all look too depressing to watch on any given day.

Alrighty, finally saw The Expendables II and The Avengers - both were epic and I HIGHLY recommend them! Seriously, epic movies, great casts, lots of fun.
And since it's Christmas Eve, a selection of Christmas movies we love here at my place:
It's a Wonderful Life (a classic - we all love those!) The Muppet Christmas Carol (who doesn't like The Muppets?) Borrowed Hearts (It's cute!) Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (claymation awesomeness) Die Hard (shh, it is SO a Christmas film...) Die Hard II (Not budging on this) How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the original animated version) The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (1983 based on the book, which is a fun read I recommend) Elf (the only movie with Will Farrel I can stand. James Caan rescued it, as usual) Home Alone 1 & 2 (they lost something when they changed the kid and no Joe Pesci or Richard Dern) The Family Man (the reverse It's A Wonderful Life, sort of! It's awesome!) Lethal Weapon (again, shhh) Just Friends (The brothers in this one remind me of a couple of my brothers)
And my personal favorite - Surviving Christmas with Ben Affleck, Catherine O'Hara, James Gandolfini, Christina Applegate and many more awesome cast members. Trying to reconcile his past, Drew returns to his childhood home and ends up hiring the family who lives there to be his family for Christmas with mixed hilarity, heartache, and raunchy humor.
On that note, Merry Christmas RC!
