As a year of hardship closes and a year of promise begins, folks from all walks of life will gather to celebrate the time passed one final time before the ball drops, cleaning the slate. With so many people in one enclosed space, things are bound to go both right and wrong. Perhaps something sinister lurks around the corner, something that could possibly taint the entire evening – Everyone wants to start the New Year with a bang, but not all intentions are well set. What will happen? The only way to know is to get involved.
The mansion is full of several rooms to explore, including:
THE GRAND FOYER – It’s what you'll see walking in the door. It is two stories high with a winding stair case. Go upstairs to the balcony of the ballroom.
THE GRAND BALLROOM - This is where the party is happening. Enjoy the entertainment, the main stage, food, and full bar here!
GAME ROOM - If you want to shoot some pool, play darts and cards, check it out!
BACK GARDENS & FIELD - Covered in a thin layer of frost, the gardens charm. It's the perfect place to hold a private conversation. Also look forward to the fireworks show on the field.
STUDY/LIBRARY - If you need time away from the party, relax in the library, complete with a grand piano.
CONSERVATORY - Visit the conservatory - wall to wall in windows that will give you a stunning view of the gardens and field behind the mansion. Feel free to go out on the PORCH for some fresh air.
OUTSIDE - Pop outside for a smoke or a stroll through the snow covered walkway.
Your character, this time, it’s all crucial. Every choice comes with a consequence so be careful. You never know what’s lurking around the corner nowadays. Things could get messy if you lose yourself to the celebrations. Either way, what happens on this night will become history, set in stone and perhaps even written in blood – You sure don’t want to miss out on this event!
POSTING PROCEDURES:
1) Make note that there are threads set up for all of the different rooms of the mansion. You are free to make new rooms that you accidentally get yourself into (such as the basement or the kitchen), but the ones set up are the ones open for people to mingle in.
2) To leave one area and go elsewhere in the house, simply post in the threads of the room you desire. You can also leave at will.
3) You can leave and enter threads as much as you like. Think of it this way: If you post in the thread, you're entering the room.
4) Unlike the Halloween thread, you are not required to post in the Grand Ballroom first.[/size]
