Hey everyone! Newbie Jay here, with my character Holden. I've played as him before, and needless to say, I'm rather excited to have him here!

Some information that would be helpful.
-Holden is from The Catcher in the Rye.
-He is currently working as a Starbucks barista, which is ironic, considering his cynical mind.
-He's 17 years old.
-Holden is pretty respectful of women in general, more than anyone else he's ever come across.
-It's highly likely that he'll think of just about anyone as a "phony".

My current characters are:

Jane Eyre, age 20, art teacher, gallery owner, and runner of a charity. She's very kind, quiet and shy.

James Moriary, age 41, college professional and criminal mastermind. He's a horrible person with a really wicked sense of humor.

Hector Tormei "Hades", age 45, mayor, bookstore owner, and mob boss. Hector tends to be a bit on the cynical side and can be gruff but is protective of people he considers his family.

Hello! Kay has beaten me to it, but I'm deciding to say it all the same: Welcome to RC! By the by, I love The Catcher In The Rye, and I also love your app. And the pb (*flails* Freeeeeeddie). So hopefully I can find some way to thread with you.
Cue cheesy grin.

I have two characters at the moment:

- Doctor Hastie Lanyon. Paediatrician, bit of a goon, really can't say no to a good coffee and only moved to New York due to a car crash that caused the death of his Wife. He grew up in England, moved to Scotland in his teens (so the accent will probably be a mix between the two), and blatantly refuses to drive a car. Instead he rides a bicycle - and gets hit by cars most of the time, too.

- Sherlock Holmes. Consulting detective, downright barmy, bit of a grump when he doesn't get his own way (though most of the time he does), and a leetle bit suicidal. Honestly, it's probably best to steer clear of my version of Holmes. He's completely weird, not a beeet like the canon and will probably attempt to figure out what your character(s) had for breakfast three days ago in that stalker-ish way of his that he doesn't realize is rather creepy.

I'm so happy that you all liked my app for Holden! Seriously, I was never expecting anything big. XD But, I wouldn't mind multiple RP's. c: I've had my fair share of them over the years. The last time I counted, I believe I was in about...12 threads with the same character. XD

Sherlock would indeed be interesting, as I'm sure he'd probably piss off Holden to no end. But then again, I'd love to have him interact with Lanyon. :c Hm...I think I'll probably have him go with Lanyon. Just to see him get hit by a car. XD

Who doesn't want to see someone get hit by a car? >.<

I'll have to get up to date on all my other threads before I start anything mind, but I don't see why you can't thread Holden with Sherlock and Hastie if you want?


P.S. I wouldn't try to not do multiple threads if I were you. It's probably basically impossible, and I'd imagine it'd get terrible boring. I think everyone has at least two going on at the same time - and half of mine are all mixed up in my character's timelines. For example, I have a couple somewhere that are weeks before some of my other ones. :3
So yeah.
Try to get as many as you can, and then piss people off when you can't post for a couple of days for some random reason.
That's what I do.

Great! What sort of thing did you have in mind with Holden and Hector? Chances are, Hector'll just think of Holden as some punk ass whiny little bastard but then again, that's how he thinks of most people.

Perhaps we could start with some sort of run-in at Starbucks? XD I figure that'll lead to something, once Holden gets to talking. And hey, Holden'll probably think of Hector as yet another "phony". XD

I roleplay:
Gregory Lestrade - This guy, who basically is a police officer who likes to frequent cafes and accidentally flirt with everyone. He's pretty kind about everyone and everything, and... yeah. He's pretty awkward, but he likes to chat everyone up, and considering Holden works at a cafe...

And Cosette Valjean, who has never gotten a thread before and sorely needs one. She's basically a budding actress, who's been in one big production and a few smaller ones. She's not exactly famous, but possibly recognizable.

If you'd like to do a thread, I'd be chuffed^^.

I currently have one character but I love her all the same.

Cherry Valance. She's seventeen and from The Outsiders. In short, she's the girl that goes against the grain. She hates fights and wishes that everyone would just be equal with each other. Cherry is that sweet girl that will gladly step between people to stop a fight or go out of her way to help someone.
