Jaime here, again. I'm looking to set up some threads for my three characters - Monte Cristo, Chase, and Medea. Below, you'll find descriptions of each, for those of you who aren't familiar with them, and links to their bios.
DISCLAIMER: I am notoriously slow at replying to threads. Every time I think I'll have more time to post and I say "Oh, I'll definitely not take so long," something happens and I fall behind again. So I won't say that this time. I'll just try my best to reply quickly.
Without further ado:
Alternatively known as "Count Monte Cristo" or simply "Monte Cristo," the Count is personable and charming, yet enigmatic- he allows very few people to know of his background, or of his real name. He works as an investment banker, though with the massive fortune he has earned, he could live very comfortably on his savings alone. He counts Richard Plantagenet among his friends, and Dr. James Faustus among his enemies.
I'm looking to give this character more depth, by giving him either someone to care about (not necessarily in a romantic sense), or by letting his vicious side loose against someone he hates. These could be new friends/enemies or old.
Chase is the narrator from Poe's "The Raven." It has been about a year since the death of the woman he loved, Lenore. Since then, he has been trying unsuccessfully to work through his grief. He's made friends with Harry Chandler and Jane Eyre, but, being a fairly likable guy, has no real "enemies." Also, he's about to stumble upon a disturbing revelation.
I'd love to continue working with Harry and Jane. I'm also looking for additional people to interact with Chase. Additionally, I'd like an investigator to help with the next phase of Chase's plot.
Once a mother, now a murderer, Medea is in the States after having been kicked out of Greece over her involvement in the deaths of two high-profile people and her own two sons. She works as a toxicologist, and has many politicians as acquaintances, who look after her well-being and try to protect her privacy. She and Lady Catherine get along well, and she has met Hector Tormei.
I'm not sure what direction to take this character in just yet. I kind of want someone to play Jason, her ex-husband. Aside from that, maybe she could build up a wider circle of friends. She'll likely need one in the future.
