There's no real easy way to say this so I'll just get it over with - as I've been putting it off for quite a while. I'll be leaving RC indefinitely.
RC has been my personal pride and joy from the moment I created it with Randi. I loved it so much and put a lot of hard work and care into it. I can't even begin to really express how much. To be able to create something that brings people an escape - a powerful enough escape that it means a lot. And to be able to honor the classics and breathe new life into them...it has just been a joy.
Unfortunately, however, for a number of reasons and a very long series of unfortunate events...RC just hasn't been the same for me personally. And as much as I slaved and tried to do my best to bring new life into it, it has only exhausted me and made RC into nothing but a chore to me which is never right or good. More and more, I started to see that this place has changed a lot (not talking the looks and organization, but the feel of it) - and its really not the same place that I created, and after everything - there's nothing I can do about it.
Because its not the same, doesn't mean its bad. But its just not for me. So much so that it is unfair for me to stick around and hold characters/and an admin position that I no longer feel connected to anymore. I've just grown extremely distant and its really sad for me still - because I know its best to let go of this epic year-and-several-months of great RPing. Its just that its gotten to a point where I honestly don't think that any muse will be coming back nor will my motivation to keep working and working for this RP. Who knows what the future will bring though? Maybe I'll have a change of heart later, but as of now - I think this is the best decision.
I'm sorry, but it has been a blast. In the meantime, I will be helping the remaining (and potentially) new staff get a solid footing in running the board and I hope they will be able to create a fun RP environment better than I have.
Oh ...and thanks for the good times, guys.
