CANONS ARE NOW OPEN! If you would like to apply to reinvent a character whose canon is NOT on the list of available canons, please use the code to post here. The canons on the list have been seriously considered and are what we are dominantly looking for. While all suggested canons will be considered, if we think the canon does not fit our criteria (original published before 1970, too sci-fi/fantasy, or would not benefit the site) we may deny it. List of canons can be found here. Make sure you have solidly looked over them before requesting a new one. REQUEST CANON HERE Wanted character: here Why: Why you think it best your character belong to this canon and does not belong in any of the others. Benefit: Do you think this canon would bring new members or be used by others?

The Life and Strange Surprizing Adventures of Robinson CrusoeWanted character: Robinson Crusoe Why: The character I have in mind is defined by the experience of being alone on an island, so far from everything he knew that he had to cope and adapt to impossible circumstances the only way he could. It doesn't fit any of the other canons that we currently have without removing a character from his or her canon characterization which isn’t the point of RC. Benefit: This opens up another adventure category, which are always popular. Also, there’s three other amazing characters to bring in and increase activity. And you know me – Robinson will be EPIC in my capable hands

Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell Wanted character: Katie Scarlett O'Hara Hamilton Kennedy Butler ;D (or if you really prefer, simply Scarlett O'Hara)
Why: There are very few Southern based works listed as canons on this site, and Miss Scarlett is certainly the most fiery, stubborn, manipulative Southern belle of them all! She would work on this site because she is a business woman, first and foremost, and never takes no for an answer! Scarlett, as a teenager, was a spoiled brat who had every man around her falling at her feet. She grew up to become a vindictive, yet sometimes incredibly loving woman who was thrust into the worst war the United States has ever had. Hers is not a story of war, however, but of love, as her romance with Captain Rhett Butler is regarded as one of the most memorable in the history of literature. She wouldn't fit with any other canon because hers is so incredibly unique, and so undeniably American (as so few of the canons are). Unlike most females of her kind in canons, she has just LOST her love, and her plot is to vow to get him back, by any means neccessary!
Benefit: I think most definitely that this canon would bring new players, because it is such a beloved classic by many people. It is extremely American (albeit Southern American), but it has a heart and a charm to it that other canons don't have. You don't often see Gone with the Wind lumped with other classics, and it's not usually studied in schools. But that is because there is no hidden meaning behind it. It is straightforward, and honest. Not only is it a good story, that would translate well to modern day (considering we're in a political war right now between the South and North because of recent elections), but it has a PLETHORA of characters to choose from, including everyone's favorite scalawag Rhett Butler.
