❧ About ❧
- Application -[/center]
Anyone who has read Wuthering Heights by the fabulous Emily Bronte will know that Heathcliff's character is driven by the obsessive love he has for Catherine Earnshaw. He's a brooding, moody character who has a particularly nasty and cruel streak to him. It's a trait which more often then not makes a quick appearance upon meeting him and coupled with his explosive short temper and incredibly jealous nature, can be particularly frightening for anyone to witness.[/b]
If you haven't done anything to him personally, you're still not 100% out of his line of fire. He can be particularly discourteous towards anyone who approaches him without a second thought and coupled with his already volatile personality; Heath is an incredibly intense person to be around.❧ Plotting ❧
- Plotting with Heath -
So lets get started shall we! I've decided to take Heathcliff down a musical route. He's the dark, brooding new artist on the block and now lives alone in a loft apartment in the Village. With the release of his first album 'Wuthering Heights' set for the next few weeks he's currently throwing his all into working. One; to make a success of himself and two; to defeat and make a show of "Catherine" whose current media activity is not sitting well with him at all.
Right now Heath is still virtually unknown as an artist. In fact, he's probably only well known to the Agency who scouted him and anyone whose caught one of his gigs at a coffee shop, bar or small theater venue in the past few months. Plotwise these are probably the best starting points for plotting with him and as of late He's been keeping a somewhat low profile. That doesn't mean he's lost any of his temper though, particularly if anyone brings up the "Cathy" in question... (Oooh is that a signal for someone to test that theory??? )
Right now before I move on I just want to add a last note in here for any aspiring Wuthering Heights characters who may be reading this;
The "Cathy" in question.
Just in case we get a possible Cathy here I'll just point out that I'm 100% easy going with this and will happily change anything Earnshaw/Catherine/Hindley related in my application to fit whatever they want to do. I wanted to bring the Earnshaw connection into my history in order to both re-write and still some how canonically keep Heathcliff as Heathcliff here on RC so I'll happily change names if you have a completely different idea for Cathy/Earnsaw/Hindley in mind
[li] For one Heath will need a manager. I can NPC a manager for now but if you have a character whose good with business, powered by greed or just simply a lover of music I'd love to plot something out there.
[/li][li] "The Earnshaws" Since Heath left the Eranshaw household, he's not really had any contact with them or anyone who may know "Mr Earnshaw" either personally, through business or through the Media so I'd be interested in plotting with someone who might already know of Heath and the issues with "Hindley" and "Mr Earnshaw" himself.
[/li][li] People who know him from a gig. I'm interested in plotting with anyone who may know him from a gig.[/li][/ul]
So those I suppose are the plots I'm interested in personally right now but generally I'm up for anything which Heath can swing in his favor.
I can do 'romance' (however tainted it'll probably end up...which I assure you it will do unless your Catherine Earnshaw).
If there's any character who would quite enjoy being used and seduced by a 'rockstar' purely out of spite Heath is your man. Anyone who has read the novel will know of Heathcliffs 'wife' Isabella Linton and if not here's a little bit about that relationship; Isabella was the sister of Heathcliffs love rival for Cathy Edgar Linton. When Cathy marries Edgar instead of Heathcliff later on, in order to take revenge Heathcliff takes Isabella (Whose infatuated by his brooding "tortured soul" nature) as his wife in both an attempt to anger and destroy Catherine and Edgar without mercy and for his own sadistic amusement, relishing in testing her very limits with as much abuse as he can before she cracks. On the most part it works particularly on Edgar but when faced with Catherine herself Heathcliff's resolve wavers somewhat.
Violence is an easy one of you want get on the wrong side of someone and I'm also up for casual threads with anyone who'll approach him.
