James Moriarty Occupation: Professor and criminal consultant Age: 38 Sexuality: Relatively indifferent and doesn't have any preferences James is a polite individual, generally low-key, and is quite calm. He isn't the kind to head to the clubs and or hook up with random people for one night stands. He's very intellectual and loves to learn new things so he'll spend a lot of his free time in places of learning such as a library or a museum. He's wealthy though he doesn't appear to live lavishly. His home is a humble apartment and most of his clothes aren't exactly high-end. Looking at him, you'd see someone who's maybe middle class at best. James is easy enough to get along with on a casual basis, though getting to really know him is a bit more difficult. He's wary of making strong connections with people and will often push people away if they are getting too close for his comfort. Friends[/b] James doesn't have any friends at the moment. He has plenty of acquaintences, mostly through the college, and he's not against meeting new people. Lovers James isn't looking for a relationship or to hook up with anyone, but that doesn't mean that it's completely out of the question. Of course, he'd need someone who wouldn't bore him who could honor his personal space. Enemies You'd have to wrong James personally to make an enemy of him. If he plans a crime against someone, that doesn't automatically make them his enemy; it's just business.

Kristine is a pretty interesting girl, though he might not think so--that is, she has many hidden talents. She writes poetry, draws, and writes, and of course, sings like a motherbitch.
She's also real pretty and can be smart if she's really in the zone. i.e. in church or hanging around the library or something. She's also very strange looking--the grunge clothing and all that.
So.

Greg and Jim just doesn't go down well, I think.
Osric went to NYU, so he might be a former student. He also works in a music shop, moves boxes for people, other odd jobs. Maybe they could meet up somehow.
Victor and Jim... huh...
Sorry I have no ideas... do you?

Kristine: I can't think of anything with her right now but I'm going to come back to it. I feel like they could have an interesting thread, if set up properly.
Greg: Yeaaaaah, not a great pair.
Victor: Not sure how that would work at all.
Osric: Osric being a former student would work. Maybe Jim's moving offices so he posts an ad for labor and Osric answers it?

Something could probably be arranged after she comes back from being kidnapped by Erik, which will happen much later.

Peter/Jim - Well, ex-student Peter may be the kind to keep in touch with an old mentor. Also, as a member of the NYPD, he could be someone Jim might want to keep tabs on. And you know Peter - when he likes someone, it totally clouds his objectivity as a professional.
Zander/Jim - I can't see this one yet, but it's not to say they won't interact later on!
Sunny/Jim - Believe it or not, Sunny was once a Naval Engineer, as he majored in Engineering and holds a minor in Physics from The University of Hawaii. He's highly intelligent and could probably challenge Jim a bit...when he's not completely loopy. They could make for an interesting pair.
Siobhan/Jim - Siobhan would probably find Jim charming and fascinating. She really wouldn't be able to keep up with his brains, though. So not sure what they would do, but she's always up for a thread.
Anyways, if you have any thoughts, my babies are always available to you!

I like that idea that Osric's goes and moves stuff for Jim. But something more interesting needs to happen in the process or it will be a very dry thread.

Kristine: We can look into that then!
Osric: I'm trying to think of something exciting that could happen but universities are notoriously uninteresting around professor offices. There could be students picketing something outside maybe, that would at least be a conversation topic.
Peter: Jim would definitely want to keep track of a detective who could pose any danger to Jim. Do you have any specific ideas for a thread or a starter point for them plot-wise?
Siobhan/Zander: I can't think of anything for Jim and them right now.
Sunny: Could be a lot of fun but I'm not sure where to start for them :/

Peter/Jim - Darn you and good questions! Umm...I am going to think more on this and PM you when I have something more than 'Peter drops in and bugs Jim for something random'.
Sunny/Jim - I just re-read what you wrote for places Jim likes to be and got this sudden image of Sunny and Jim at a museum, haha. This could be interesting, seeing as how Sunny understands life from a technical view and Jim teaches Philosophy. Also, Sunny is fascinated by dinosaurs - not the beats themselves, but why people insist on assembling them and sticking their bones in the middle of the room for people to stare at. Just an idea, but let me know what you think!

Would definitely love to have Marguerite meet Moriarty. Perhaps at one of her social gathering or after one of her performances? Or elsewhere if you have any ideas, toss them out there. Can't wait! ~Lady B
